This week the students have returned after the summer holidays for their first week of the new term. In this "induction week" we have set the expectations for the year, completed initial assessments (some students went a step further and even completed exams for English and Maths qualifications!) and we have given time for students and staff to build relationship again after being away for 6 weeks. Every single student here has started back well: being calm around the building and in lessons, following staff instructions well, and respecting staff and students. Based on what I have seen so far, and what I already knew about our students, I am very excited about this coming year - each of our young people can do incredibly well if they continue working hard and have the potential to either reintegrate to school or move to their next provision! Their lives are being "transformed for good" before our very eyes.
